Md. Nabil Bin Zakir serves as the Zone Advisor for KRTC's Central Zone (Dhaka & Mymensingh Divisions) under the University Coordinator & Student Ambassador Program. He is a final-year B.Sc. (Hons) student in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Rajshahi (160 credits), with a strong interest in research, drug design, and the management of academic programmes.
A published author in journals including Supply Chain Insider — co-authoring "Toward Sustainable Alternatives: Analyzing Bioplastic Supply Chain Challenges in Bangladesh's Local Market" — he has also presented at international conferences including the RSBRU International Research Summit 2026 (paper: "Nanofibre Revolution Against Glioblastoma — Comprehensive Insights into Synthesis and Clinical Applications") and the International Conference on Business Innovation and Sustainable Development (ICBISD 2026, paper: "Mapping the Knowledge Landscape of ESG in Emerging Markets"). He is trained at BCSIR Rajshahi Laboratories on advanced analytical instrumentation (FESEM, GC-MS, FTIR, ICP-OES, Particle Size Analyzer) and at the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI) on Industrial Process Unit Operation & Process Control (SCADA, PID, GC, HPLC, FTIR, boiler and heat-exchange operation), alongside a Basic Programming with Python certification from the Bangladesh Computer Council, ICT Division.
A proven student leader, he serves as General Secretary of the Rajshahi University Research Society (RURS) — having organised 50+ international research conferences and workshops — and is the Founding Vice President of the Dinajpur District Students' Welfare Association at the University of Rajshahi. As Zone Advisor, he guides University Coordinators across Central Zone universities and affiliated National University colleges in Dhaka and Mymensingh Divisions, ensuring regional coherence and institutional alignment with KRTC's applied-science training, research, and community mission.
