Md Rasel Rana serves as the Zone Advisor for KRTC's East Zone (Chattogram & Sylhet Divisions) under the University Coordinator & Student Ambassador Program. He is a final-year B.Sc. student in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Rajshahi, specialising in Food Technology and Industrial Automation, with hands-on family-business exposure to food production, quality standards, and the dynamics of the Bangladeshi food market.
Trained at the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) on advanced analytical instrumentation including FESEM, GC-MS, FTIR, ICP-OES, and Particle Size Analyzer, and holds an A+ grade from the Training Institute of Chemical Industries (TICI) in industrial automation — covering PLC and SCADA systems, sensor and control-loop instrumentation, and the operation and control of boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, and turbines.
A proven student leader, he serves as President of the Dinajpur District Students Welfare Association at the University of Rajshahi (managing a network of 1,000+ students, 40+ faculty members, and 1,000+ alumni), and was a candidate for the Rajshahi University Central Students Union (RUCSU) — engaging a 30,000+ student body and securing 1,200+ votes through strategic campaigning. As Zone Advisor, he guides University Coordinators across East Zone universities (CU, SUST, CoU, NSTU) and affiliated National University colleges, ensuring regional coherence and institutional alignment with KRTC's applied-science training, research, and community mission.
