Md. Monirul Islam serves as a Department Instructor at the Kekuleon Research and Training Center (KRTC), leading the Polymer and Plastic Processing Technologies department. He brings practical industry experience from quality control and executive roles in chemical and paint manufacturing, combined with academic training in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Rajshahi.
He currently works as an Executive Officer at SGS (Testing Lab, Chemical), handling pH and formaldehyde testing. Previously, he served as a Quality Control Officer at Pran RFL — Rainbow Paint, Norshindi, ensuring quality parameters of raw and finished goods. His academic research focused on sustainable methods for post-consumer plastic recycling and heavy metal remediation in ecosystems — work that directly informs his leadership of KRTC's polymer and plastic processing curriculum.
