Taposh Shingha Roy is a pharmaceutical research and development specialist with formulation, analytical method development, and validation expertise. He currently serves as Senior Officer, Research and Development at Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited — a leading Bangladeshi pharmaceutical manufacturer — where he leads development activities for drug substances and finished products, prepares and executes verification and validation protocols, develops and validates analytical methods for non-compendial drugs, and oversees stability studies for laboratory and validation batches.
He holds an MSc and a BSc in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Rajshahi, with his MSc thesis focused on the development of single-bath bioscouring and bleaching of cotton fabric using pectinase and peracetic acid. He has completed specialised industrial training on Industrial Process Unit Operation & Process Control Technique at the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), Polash, Narsingdi, and a three-month course on Microsoft Excel, SPSS, and Research Methodology from the Department of Statistics, University of Rajshahi. His professional career — spanning Quality Control at Popular Pharmaceuticals Limited and progressively senior R&D roles at Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited — has built deep applied experience in pharmaceutical R&D workflows, method validation, and stability science.
As a member of the Joint Advisory Team (JAT) of the Kekuleon Research and Training Center (KRTC), he contributes industry-grounded insights to curriculum design, hands-on training methodology, and laboratory infrastructure — particularly in pharmaceutical R&D, analytical method development, and validation practice — helping align KRTC's applied chemistry programmes with the day-to-day standards of regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing.
